Privacy Policy

Pool Company App (“we”, “us”) provides software that pool service companies use to manage customers, schedule service, and record the work their technicians perform. This policy explains what information the Pool Company App website and the Pool Company App – Tech mobile app collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Who this applies to

Our customers are pool service companies. Accounts for company admins, technicians, and the company’s own customers are created by that pool service company. The pool service company decides what information is entered about its customers and controls that information; we process it on their behalf.

Information we collect

• Account and contact information — name, email address, and phone number, used to sign you in with a one-time verification code and to identify you within your company.
• Service information — customer accounts, service addresses, pool details, gate codes, visit schedules, water chemistry readings, chemicals added, checklists, notes, and reported issues.
• Photos — photos technicians take of pools and equipment during a visit, using the device camera with your permission.
• Location — when you allow it, the tech app uses your device’s location while the app is in use to show your position on the route map and to record where a service photo was taken. We do not track location in the background.
• Technical information — basic logs (such as IP address, device type, and request times) that our hosting providers record to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

• To provide the service: sign-in, scheduling, routing, visit records, and service reports.
• To send verification codes and, when the pool service company enables it, service reports by email.
• To keep the service secure, troubleshoot problems, and improve it.

We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the service, and only as needed to do so:

• Supabase — database and photo storage
• Vercel — website and API hosting
• Resend — email delivery (verification codes and service reports)
• Twilio — SMS delivery, where text messaging is used
• Google Maps Platform — maps, address lookup, and route distances

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as the pool service company’s account is active, or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. To delete your account or personal information, contact your pool service company or email us at support@poolcompany.app, and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to the pool service company it belongs to. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
